You’ve probably seen this map floating around. This is how the islands will be divided up in the proposed redevelopment. The blue and red zones will be an expanded Budweiser Stage and the Therme Group’s contentious private spa and waterpark.

Ford is claiming that the land in question is privately owned, and that the owners “have the right to sell to anyone they want.” That’s not quite the truth 1/ #onpoli
The Mike Harris government sold part of the land in question to farmers for a rock-bottom price under the agreement that it would remain protected in perpetuity. That’s what the Duffins Rouge Agricultural Preserve Act was created for. 2/
