The Sunshine Protection Act is typical politics: a short-sighted solution to a complex problem.
If we, as a nation, stop using Daylight Savings, it will lead to increased Daylight Inflation. Yes, you'll have more daylight, BUT THAT DAYLIGHT WILL ACTUALLY BE WORTH LESS!!!
Even worse, without any Daylight Savings Time to fall back on, the average American family will have less of a safety net in times of crisis, leaving them no choice but to start living on *borrowed* time, which is often, of necessity, obtained at usurious interest rates.
