We Will Not Apologize: Zionism is Racism!

We make no apologies for calling for the destruction of an apartheid and colonial state that is actively engaging in a genocide of the Palestinian people that has already killed over 25,000. The right-wing attack on the new mass movement in defense of the Palestinian people attempts to conflate the call for an end to the apartheid-constructed state of Israel as a call for the destruction of the Jewish people, and to label those who make the call as antisemitism. This is utterly and completely false. This is a propaganda trick by the apologists for genocide.Image Would anyone be asked to apologize now for calling for the destruction of the Apartheid South African state? The New York Post used to call Nelson Mandela and the anti-apartheid activists “terrorists.” Thirty years later, everyone admits that after a righteous struggle, it was a good thing that Apartheid South Africa was erased from history and replaced with a democratic state.

🏫 Today, June 16 1976, young people in South Africa organized a peaceful march against a 1974 decree that made it mandatory for Black highschools to use the Afrikaans language–‘language of the oppressor’–as the medium of instruction. This is known as the #Soweto uprising

🧵👇🏽 Agitated by Black Consciousness, growing economic & political injustice, 30,000 youth–as young as 12 yrsold–took to the streets.

When the students were met w/ violent state repression, they stood firm and fought back. Some estimate that there were 700 fatalities that year. Image

For months we’ve been the target of a campaign that alleges our funding comes from “dark money”

A few years ago we met Roy Singham, a Marxist comrade who sold his company & donated most of his wealth to non-profits that focus on political education, culture & internationalism. It seems to bother some folk that we receive funding that furthers our anti-imperialist politics. It seems to bother them even more that our funder is also a staunch anti-imperialist whose work goes back to the Black Panthers & the LRBW in Detroit. blackagendareport.com/road-detroit-s…
