I've been building a Baby SkyNet. This will be the thread where I'll show its progress: Here's the theory behind the work: there may be some correlation between how someone looks and their political opinions. This should be self evident since most people make these inferences all the time. The question is whether a machine can learn to do this.

𝐀𝐧𝐭𝐢-𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐦 is the idea that Cretes are uniquely predisposed to being liars. As defined elsewhere, ethnic sin is either malicious, vainglorious, or separatist, but the anti-Cretism forms of it usually tend toward the malicious. Image Image

After being on the losing side of a revolution, the conservative ceases to be a conservative in the proper sense of the word. Instead, he either becomes a counter revolutionary or a collaborator. The Collaborator does not need to buy entirely into the Revolution. In fact, he rarely does. What the Collaborator does, however, is internalize his defeat and begins accepting the frame of the Revolution while questioning specific aspects of its excesses for a time.

The Reformers did not take a "just preach the gospel" approach. They went straight to their national elite and tried to win them over to the Reformation, and what they offered the national elite was something the elite found beneficial vis-à-vis Rome. Today's church leaders are not in the same position. They have nothing to offer the current crop of national and international elite other than offering to smoothly manage Christianity's decline and ensuring that their people don't resist.

This is where we are.

For perspective, the LCMS is like 5x larger than the PCA. It is very difficult to have so many people in a body in the negative world, especially for cradle Lutherans, who struggle with being labeled haters. Also, your soft antinomian podcasters didn't prep you for this hour. To make a more general remark, because the soft antinomian podcaster phenomenon wasn't confined to Lutherans: it sucks that at the very hour that real leaders with foresight should have been preparing people for what's upon us now, we were plagued with a swarm of antinomians

"While it is partially true to say that 'white Christians deserve credit for building Western civilization,' it is divisive and exclusionary in that which it leaves out: namely, there is neither Jew nor Greek, as well as the contributions of Jews, Arabs, Asians, and Africans." This type of reaction is a conditioned response

We need to purge the people who believe in transing 3 year olds and the geocentrists from our churches! Both sides have repulsive scientific beliefs and it is the church's duty to purge them both!

Such a "purge" of just the people who buy into "LGBT propaganda" among the "conservative" PCA would see a loss of about half its membership Image Data on the views of "Same-sex marriage" among the PCA membership: 40% strongly in favor, 11% was unsure Image

Lovely compliant leaders we have here People need to start picking up on when people are being theonerds for the sake of theonerdery and when they are compromised.

So I've had an influx of new follows (to over 4400!) since my shadow ban ended. To those people, here's what you might expect from this account: 1. A lot of church history quotes + custom gifs. I believe that that 20th century was terrible for theology so I push for RETVRN'n to tradition pretty hard and I use the gits to catch the eyes so you'll get on the RETVRN train too.

This is an example of the type of American "Christian Nationalism" that I've been advocating for played out in a local environment, i.e., Philadelphia in the aftermath of the 1793 Yellow Fever crisis.

1/11 It was organized. It was assertive. And it was broadly ecumenical in a way that didn't blur doctrinal differences: it focused on social goods. From the list of signers, I have identified Episcopalian, Presbyterian, Baptist, Lutheran, Moravian, and Methodist ministers. 2/11
