@ChiefOjukwu With some exceptions, the Governors are the biggest challenge to our progress as a nation. Unfortunately, Nigerians think their problem is FG. Truly an unfortunate situation!
@ChiefOjukwu Please how much does your State and your LGA get on average as monthly FAAC? Let's start from there. My own LGA of Biase on Cross River State gets average of 180 million naira monthly. The Governor still passes through back door to collect it from the council.

As I joined my Boss His Excellency VP Yemi Osinbajo on an official visit to Ebonyi State yesterday, what I saw was massive, commendable and almost unbelievable.
Almost every piece of earth in the state of Ebonyi is under construction, has undergone massive construction, reconstruction, renovation or remodeling.

In the last 1 year, I have been added to more than 100 WhatsApp groups, created to raise funds for Funerals or Weddings, instead of groups to raise funds for research, education, social change, etc. If we must make meaningful progress, we need to review our priorities & values!
The most important elements of a marriage are the prideprce, plan for sustainable source(s) of livelihood and a happy home. Yet, some even borrow to finance their wedding.

While I sympathize with victims of the recent fire incidents in some markets across Nigeria, I wish to urge traders & market unions to embrace insurance coverage as one way to mitigate situations like these, especially now that the insurance sector has greatly improved in Nigeria
As serial entrepreneur and one who started business with little or no support from anyone, I know how hopeless it could be to lose your entire business to burglary or fire, as I had been through it before I discovered the insurance route, and would encourage others follow suit.

My Local Govt, Biase LGA, has been receiving between 140 & 170 million naira monthly allocation from the federal govt for months since the federal started paying LG allocations directly to their account, yet no single Biasean has been able to ask what the money is being used for.
We have currently have Head of Local Government Administrators (HOLGAs) across the 18 LGAs in Cross River state, as the govt has deliberately refused to conduct local government elections for nearly a decade now.

I lived in Ajegunle for about 5yrs (2002-2007), at a time almost every young man in the area was into internet fraud. We used same cafes, while they engaged in their 'job', I was busy learning web design, graphics and digital marketing. Most of them made mockery of my choice.
Admittedly, a number of made good money, and did everything to entice me. They would tell me "Webgod, if we know 1% of what you know about the Internet technology, Dangote would struggle to compete with us".
Unfortunately, no matter how much they made, it didn't last...

Did you know that if your boss pays you N30,000 monthly salary and you decide to save all without touching a dime, it will take you 36 months to save just one million naira? Did I hear you say 3 years? Absolutely! You heard me right.
But did you know that the average market woman who trades on little food stuff and condiments makes between N5,000 - N10,000 daily or about N150,000 - 300,000 monthly, even though their biggest challenge is lack of savings culture & financial discipline?

Don't allow her pressure you into unprepared marriage. Marriage isn't same as courtship. You would realise something bigger than love when you go into marriage without a sustainable source of livelihood. If she cannot wait, let her go in peace.
So, most of your friends are getting married... except for you and your partner. To complicate matters, friends and family are already asking, "When is it your turn?".
