Squire Johnson, with construction starting in 1948. The foundation stone was laid by the Secretary of State for Education, D R Hardyman; the school opened officially in 1950 and building work was completed in 1952. 2/4

It is a two storey #Gothic building faced with red brick and terracotta. There is an embattled clock tower over the main entrance and a fine terracotta panel on the west face. 2/4



2/6 The Banc Du Neolithic enclosure occupies the summit of a low hill at the western end of the Preseli Ridge. It was discovered from the air by @RC_Survey and surveyed by us in 2005. It has the title of being the first dated Neolithic enclosure in Wales.⤵️


2/10 Roman villas are not common in Wales; fewer than 40 known or possible villas are recorded, and these are mostly in the south and east of the country. Abermagwr Villa was discovered as a striking cropmark during aerial photography in the exceptional drought of 2006.
