Statement from @RedLabour_.

Red Labour is appalled by the rhetoric from the Labour front bench in response to current industrial action.

independent.co.uk/news/uk/david-… We stand in solidarity w/ our @RMTunion comrades, who are standing strong in defending jobs, pay & conditions on our railways, w/ @unitetheunion members at British Airways, fighting to restore the 10% pay cut, & w/ any other Trade Union members in dispute w/ their employer.

For many people, it’s become increasingly difficult to express their outrage at Israel’s oppression of the Palestinian people, the continued occupation of their land and endless violation of UN resolutions.

(1/6) Our people have often felt imprisoned by the context of the “debate”, and especially the viciousness of the attack on Jeremy Corbyn and those who have stood up for the Palestinians. We should understand that this is the aim: it’s about intimidation.

Since being appointed, Labour’s General Secretary, David Evans has made a habit out of threatening members, CLP officers and local parties. There are no signs of this ending, nor the cynicism of his approach having bottomed out as yet. (1/6) ImageImage His previous emails tried to close down debates on the EHRC report and the suspension of our previous leader. The latest email to CLP secretaries etc now goes further: to forbid solidarity motions or any discussion of the “internal processes of the party”. (2/6)

All over the country, Constituency Labour Parties (CLPs) and branches are passing motions in support of Jeremy Corbyn & in defiance of our General Secretary, David Evans & regional officials who are trying to shut this movement down.

(1/7) The more that party officialdom take authoritarian measures against party members, the more protests & actions there will be, and the the more they try to take away our freedom of speech, the louder we will become.

Model motion calling for Corbyn’s reinstatement:

"This meeting notes Keir Starmer's decision on 18th Nov to declare his refusal to restore the whip to Labour MP Jeremy Corbyn, following the announcement that his suspension had been lifted without further action.

(1/6) This meeting further notes the widespread media coverage of Jeremy's disciplinary hearing, of what should be a confidential process.

As Red Labour, we welcome Jeremy Corbyn’s reinstatement to the Labour Party. He should never have been suspended in the first place and the way the whole saga has been handled raises serious questions - that still require answers.

(1/4) Thank you to every single Labour Party member who stood up to this injustice, not just for Jeremy, but for all those who’ve been unfairly targeted by those who wants to drive socialists out of the party.

[thread] Red Labour would like to congratulate all the socialist candidates from the #GrassrootsVoice slate who were elected on to the NEC last night. What it shows is that the grassroots left is still a force in the party. We can & must build on this. (1/10) However, there are some lessons to learn & fast. When we came into the @CLGALabour NEC campaign, Red Labour drew up a strategic plan where the entire #GrassrootsVoice slate would be supported by the collective organisations in the CLGA. We would work as a collective. (2/10)

Statement from @RedLabour_ on the suspension of @JeremyCorbyn.

Thread.

It’s important that we recognise the enormity of what has happened here. These actions by Keir Starmer, in withdrawing the whip from the previous & democratically elected leader of the Labour Party, and suspending his membership of the party, are unprecedented. This is not just about Jeremy. These actions are an attack on us all.
