While Republicans continue to stand up for human rights, call for hearings into origins of COVID & end US funding of Wuhan lab, Democrats want a $300B spending bill that gives the United Nations a climate slush fund & sends billions more to China to continue its slave labor.(1/4) The package is called COMPETES Act, but does little to actually make American companies more competitive or protect their intellectual property, and refers to coral reefs more times than China and climate change twice as much as national security. .@POTUS comes to #NYC & fails to mention one thing about keeping career criminals behind bars, or the fact that, under NY’s bail law, tens of thousands of criminals released were repeat offenders or were rearrested after release for another crime. The vast majority of individuals arrested for an illegal firearm are released pre-trial. The person who shot a teen at Kings Plaza in #Brooklyn just the other day was arrested in November for having four illegal firearms, but was released to commit this shooting.
