🧵 Yesterday, @DanCrenshawTX spoke to the high school students at College Park HS in The Woodlands.
The Congressman told the high school social studies students that they shouldn’t be “emotionally involved” in any causes at that age. 🤔
Dan Crenshaw told them that being emotionally invested (in high school) leads to “irrational decisions,” and he encouraged volunteering but again prescribed this idea that they shouldn’t be “emotionally invested.”
🧵In 2018 I was outside a poll, working in my voter support tent (it’s important voters knew their rights *before* attempting to vote).
A guy kept pacing back and forth and was suspicious enough that I mapped out what I’d do if he opened fire.
He started confronting me as he paced, and I refused to bite. I stood firm, and polite, though a bit concerned.
The Republicans campaigning were actively encouraging his antics. He’d gone inside to vote several times, exercising what he felt was a test of the poll workers.🪡

Hey…Dan Crenshaw’s performance on @CNN with @JakeTapper seemed pretty cringe then, and more so now, right?
Well, one of the @Etsy merchants had reached out and we created these shirts. She prints herself and does artwork. #DanCRINGEshaw
I just spoke to a voter whose close friend is an OBGYN. Because of the Texas #TriggerBan on abortion in effect today, hospital legal had a meeting where they were told—under no uncertain terms—that they are to let mothers die rather than perform life-saving abortions.

Today as I reflect on the sacrifices that so many men, women and families made for the freedoms that we all enjoy, I am thinking fondly of family and friends who have both served and returned home, and those who made the ultimate sacrifice. 1/ #MemorialDay2022#txcd2
But my thoughts keep returning to my great-Uncle, my grandmother's brother, Henry Lawless. Uncle Henry was killed during World War II. 2/
