🎙️The British Establishment is A Cult: My BBC Interview

"If warming reaches or exceeds 2 degrees Centigrade (Celsius), mainly richer humans will be responsible for killing roughly 1 billion mainly poorer humans.”

1/9 🧵

2. Like other interviews I’ve done with members of the political class, this one again shows their psychotic inability to see that the real world trumps the political world.

The contemporary British Establishment is a cult that believes in two extreme worldviews:

1. 🧵📢 “The richer a fraction of society becomes, the greater its political power.”

This is simply empirically not true. The elites with the most power are those in egalitarian societies because people are too satisfied to remove their power.

EASTER IN AUTHORITARIAN BRITAIN. I am on a tag which means I cannot leave the house before 7am. On Sunday morning I got up at 6am to go to the park with my partner to watch the sun rise & read some bits from the bible. When we got there I went “shit I shouldn't be out b4 7am”. 2. We cycled back. Within 5 minutes I was rung up by the enforcement person. I explained what had happened. She said she hoped I would not be arrested and taken to court. And then wished me a Happy Easter.

1. 1.5C is not a point of data but a religious artifact. 1. THE FUTURE OF THE GERMAN ECONOMY

Did you get the key stats in this article? 2 worse droughts for 500 yrs happening now every 4 years – 2018 and 2022. And then the drying up on the Rhine lead to a decline in GDP of .2%. So let’s do a little projection. theguardian.com/environment/20… 2. Let’s do a reasonable prediction of a 500 year drought happening on average every year from 2030 – some years not so bad other years the worst for 1000 years. That’s -.2% on average every year. -2% over the decade. But that’s just the Rhine.
