It’s very sad to see how Francis just “broke” some people. They just needed a push to be sucked into a kind of mental black hole…

Wish they’d paid more attention to our 2014 post, “Ten tips on how to survive a calamitous Pope and remain Catholic.” rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2014/11/ten-ti… (1) Keep calm.

(2) Read good books on the history of the Church and the history of the papacy.

(3) Do not give in to apocalyptic warnings.

(4) Do not stay silent, nor look away.

(5) Do not generalize.

Unfortunately, not only do they know well @taylorrmarshall in the Vatican -- we are free to affirm for sure, from the most reliable sources, that the whole thought process that led to Traditionis Custodes started with Marshall's pachamama grift stunt. Francis was not particularly fond of Traditionalists (though he was of the SSPX), but his instinct was to keep a mostly aloof attitude regarding us. Just months before the Amazon Synod, he approved additional optional prefaces and saints' days for the 1962 Missal.

"If we consider the end of the divine institution of marriage, we shall see very clearly that God intended it to be a most fruitful source of individual benefit and of public welfare."

Leo XIII

1880 "Not only, in strict truth, was marriage instituted for the propagation of the human race, but also that the lives of husbands and wives might be made better and happier. This comes about in many ways: by their lightening each other's burdens through mutual help; by constant...

We have a grave obligation to restore the Traditional Latin Mass as the proper and normative rite of the Church of Rome, the lex orandi definitively codified by St Pius V and received intact by all his successors until the tempestuous twentieth century. rorate-caeli.blogspot.com/2022/10/new-bo… The Novus Ordo Missae constitutes a rupture with fundamental elements of all liturgies of apostolic
derivation, and that, as a consequence, it violates the Church’s solemn obligation to receive, cherish,
guard, and pass on the fruits of liturgical development.

“The whole series of her [Russia’s] history, from the earliest period to the present day, has been one long-continued course of fraud and perfidy, of stealthy encroachment, or open and unblushing violence.”

Lord Lyndhurst
Speech at the House of Lords, June 19, 1854 He adds, recalling suppression and forced conversion of Polish, Ruthenian/Ukrainian Greek Catholics: “She ostentatiously proclaimed herself Protector of Greek Church…, fomented religious dissensions among that people, and, under pretence of putting an end to disorders…

But the most serious problem, for Fr. We wish to unburden ourselves.

The central crisis of the Church is the extremely high prevalence of homosexuality, active & widely present in the clergy.

Benedict XVI resigned because he was overwhelmed by it.

Every single "crisis" manufactured... 1/ ...by Francis has been a smokescreen to avoid addressing this grave matter, that has destroyed the Church from the inside, transformed much of the hierarchy into a factory of blackmail,& made the Priesthood of the New Testament, in much of the West, seen as a "Gay Profession". 2/

"Is it really necessary for the Holy Father to write in such a blunt and authoritarian manner? " "People are passionate about what they love, sometimes to a fault, but for the majority, this is human and generally kept within a tolerable range of sparring and bluster rather than disgust and deep division. Strengthened with all might,
according to the power of his glory,
in all patience and longsuffering with joy,
giving thanks to God the Father,
who hath made us worthy to be
partakers of the lot of the saints in light: who hath delivered us from the power of darkness,
and hath translated us into the kingdom
of the Son of his love,
in whom we have redemption
through his blood, the remission of sins;
who is the image of the invisible God,

"Who does he think he is?"-- a priest told us today.

That is not really relevant. What is relevant is *Who do they think WE are?*

They think, as liberals of the past, that we are sheepish conservative idiots - blindly following THEIR rules, while THEY trample on everything. 1/ They are expecting one reaction from us, and one only: "obedience". That is: "blind obedience".

Of course, THEY (the Modernists, currently in charge of the highest echelons of the hierarchy) don't care about obedience from THEIR side. 2/

We were asked by a prominent reporter to comment on the Francis document purportedly trying to do what a MUCH stronger pope in a MUCH stronger position (Paul VI) couldn't -- that is, abolish the Latin Mass. Here are our first thoughts. Yes, it is huge.

It is the most stinging rebuke by a Pope against his predecessor in living memory -- there has never been anything like it. Remember that the document itself is just 14 years old, and that Benedict XVI is still alive.

Who knew public health would so perfectly align with secular convenience?"

Does the "Charismatic Renewal" include strange things?

Yes, it does.

But we have met an inordinately high number of cradle Catholics who came to the Traditional Latin Mass after being "Charismatics".

It's easy for us to forget the complete upheaval of the 1960s and 1970s. Beliefs and practice simply disappeared in many places. And, for many people, the new "Charismatic Renewal" was a refuge they found for some semblance of Christianity and family life.
