During these challenging times, Gurukataksham trust has been doing Annadanam for last 30 days in Chennai.
Till date, the trust has distributed 7300 meals and 450 grocery kits to the needy. Puduthurai Shiva temple: Puduthurai is a small village located near Thirunagari on Seerkazhi-Sattanadhapuram route in Seerkazhi dt, TN.
Here lies a 11th century large Shiva temple in highly dilapidated state

This temple is a treasure of inscriptions which give huge details on contributions/grants given to this temple by several Chola kings like Utthama Chola, Raja Raja Chola and Vikrama Chola.

Sri Sivalokanadhar temple, Mangudi near Mayiladuthurai, Tamilnadu @punarutthana @pollaavinayen @HinduTemples7 In our Dharma, the three significant realms of existence are Booloka, Pathalaloka and Sivaloka. Around 15 kms from Mayiladuthurai, there are 3 temples representing each. Boolokanadhar in Thirumangalam, Naganathaswamy in Poigaikudi and Sivalokanadhar in Mangudi.

Sri Kripapureeshwarar temple in Thiruvennainallur, Villupuram dt, TN @punarutthana This is that divine place where Lord Shiva appeared as an old man claiming Sundarar ( first of 63 Nayanmars Shaivaite saints) as his attendant on his wedding day.
Here, the Lord is called ‘Atkondanadhar’ and Supreme mother blesses us as ‘Mangalambigai’

With divine grace, Annamalaiyar Arappani Kuzhu led by @pollaavinayen is involved in Uzhavarapani of dilapidated temples since 2006.
Today’s post is about one such revival activity done in 2019. @punarutthana @raaga31280 An ancient dilapidated Shiva temple probably as ancient as 700 years was lying in ruins in Koogaiyur around 250 kms and 12 kms from Chinna Salem on Salem-Perambalur road.

Thondai Nadu, northern part of ancient Thamizhagam with northern boundary at Thirupati is a treasure trove of divine temples. Also the birth & tapo stal of great saints.

One such ancient temple was brought to light by Annamalaiyar Arappani Kuzhu recently Sridevi Bhoodevi sametha Sri Adi Kesava Perumal temple at Bagasalai, 45 kms from Poonamallee near Chennai. This temple was in a highly dilapidated condition when Kuzhu surveyed it before Uzhavarapani.

Following the steps of Appar, Annamalaiyar Arappani Kuzhu has revived several dilapidated temples. Today Let us see the successful revival of Sri AdiKamakshi sametha Sri Karkateshwarar temple, Manavur,TN. @punarutthana Manavur is near the famous Thiruvalangadu. The Lord here is also called Thiru Nandeeswarar. This ancient temple with glorious history was in ruins until 26.10.2014 when Kuzhu did Uzhavarapani by removing overgrown vegetation, cleaning and planting trees.

Another thread on successful revival of an ancient Shiva temple. Akhilandeshwari sametha Agastheeswara mudaiya Mahadevar temple in Keezh Kolathur near Cheyyar, Thiruvannamalai dt, TN.
@pollaavinayen @punarutthana This temple possibly dating back to 9th century. When Annamalai Arappani Kuzhu did Uzhavarapani on 01.11.2015, the temple was found to be incomplete.

TEMPLE OF THE DAY: Sri Mangalambigai sametha Sri Manganathar temple -Uthirakosamangai in Ramanathapuram district, TN.
One of the oldest Shiva temples dating back to Ramayana period & closely associated with Mandodhari, wife of Ravana. This temple is even older than Rameshwaram. A Tamizh saying “Man thodriya podhe mangai thondriyadhu” explains the antiquity of this temple.
Uthiram - Upadesh; Kosam - secret; Mangai - Devi Parvati. Here, the Lord blessed the Vedic secrets to Maa Parvati. Hence the name. Another uniqueness is it houses the Emerald Nataraja

Sri Aishwaryambigai sametha Sri Navanetheeswarar temple in Nawazpettai near Kanchipuram. A long thread but please read in full to witness the divine transformation. This ancient temple was in complete ruins and the team did Uzhavarapani on 19.02.2017. Locals were stunned to see such a temple existed there as it was completely covered by bushes and trees. Except Nandi which was broken, no vigrahams were found.

Nethradhayini Sametha Masalamaneeswarar temple in Nayapakkam in Thiruvallur dt. @punarutthana This 2000 years old temple was in complete ruins where Kuzhu did Uzhavarapani on 27.07.2014. Sage Vashista and Vamadhevar had worshipped here and there is arrived named Kapila theertham nearby.
This temple was reconstructed by divine grace and Kumbabhishekam on 05.07.2017
