I was blessed to visit Normandy this week, just in advance of the 80th anniversary of #DDay - a truly moving experience.
From there, we drove to a hotel nearby the @parisaeroport in advance of an early morning flight.

Shocked by what little infrastructure & support is being provided for what is primarily a volunteer & advocate driven effort to assist our unhoused, I will write a more later about ongoing challenges & the desperate need of our City/County to step up and... 2/

YES, we all want to see impeachment articles filled ASAP. Unfortunately, House Rules require unanimous consent in order to meet sooner than Monday and McCarthy is objecting. Put another way, we have to wait because Republicans continue to obstruct the pursuit of justice.
On Monday, we should expect to see articles of impeachment filed, as reported, on one issue: Insurrection. Which these members saw and witnessed with their own eyes, and whom all were put in harms way as a result of. If they can't vote for that, they should resign.

Representation matters.
I fear when people hear this, they think it *only* means people who look like them, and that IS an important part of representation.
But it's not just genetics. It's about values. 1/
There is a VERY FLAWED assumption that Black and people of color are not viable candidates in certain regions.
Worse, there is a purity test for these candidates.
They are expected by DemSocialist & Progressives nationally to embody ALL the politics of the most blue regions.
