@UFCW333 is failing its members. I'm running an appeal on behalf of Jamaican Kitchen Workers against
@UFCW333 this coming Monday to obtain basic protections for themselves and Ontario's unionized working class. It's alleged that @UFCW333 is the first line of defense for the Employer against its own members. That is why the members are hauling UFCW before Ontario's Superior Court of Justice- Divisional Court to advocate and expand protections for their members.

Statement on yesterday’s events:

Yesterday, my office was appointed to represent a detained Canadian in the aftermath of a peaceful demonstration. I expected I would need no more than 30 minutes. 30 minutes turned into 15 hours In the course of 12+ hours, I only spoke with my client twice: at 3:15 pm, 5 hours after I was appointed as Legal Counsel, and once closer to midnight. I submit this is a violation of Section 10b of the Charter which guarantees the right to counsel immediately and w/o delay

I have been called in to 52 Division. I am requesting access to my client - who has a constitutional right to counsel immediately and without delay pursuant to Section 10b of the Charter. It's been 3 hours now. UPDATE: I was told by 52 division at 2:47 pm that I would be granted access to my client in 5 minutes. 5 minutes have turned into 30 minutes.
