A note: everything about last night, from the unreasonable amount of cops responding to the "de-escalation" language used on the scanner indicate to me that SPD was very focused on how they APPEARED last night. Keep that in mind.

Unclear what caused this initially, and we're about 30 minutes in, but I'll go back and transcribe what led to this point later. Right now, something happened, a massive crowd formed in east, and many, many copsbeing called in. Addresses redacted for now. #protestcommsseattle
