The Aalto Rooms—a.k.a. the Edgar J. Kaufman Conference Center—designed by Alvar and Elissa Aalto (1964) have been COMPLETELY DESTROYED for a redecoration—by the building's new owner, the government of Qatar.

Uncompromised by alterations, and retaining all of their original fittings and furnishings, the rooms were in perfect shape and fully intact.
