A trip which took me >11-years to plan and undertake.

1/n It was barely a month ago that I received a call from him. His voice, still the same. Sharp, like that of a drill instructor. And loud like that of an officer addressing his jawans in wartime.

Turns out the Bengaluru Coronavirus victim’s wife didn’t exactly “flee” to Agra (see pic). This was misreported.

I feel for the family. Can only imagine what they must have gone through given all the hate they received in these trying times.

▪️Quarantine isn’t the same as being jailed.

▪️You can still communicate & be in touch with family & friends.

▪️NO REASON TO FEAR.

▪️Most of those who abscond, are scared.

⚠️@MoHFW_INDIA can we have a campaign on this?

Masses need to be helped in addressing fear. A factual Ad-campaign showing COVID-19 quarantine facilities & clearly listing what it’s like to be in quarantine for those suspected/detected.

▪️Regional Media needs to play a vital role here. Putting out data is important but also educating the masses about social distancing++
