A few years ago, I decided to write to David to let him know how much his work meant to me - he was one of my childhood heros, 'Life On Earth' was incredible to this 5 year old...

'The #Pulborough Area' #torc was found in #Sussex in 2019. At first glance, the torc appears to be an #IronAge example. However, closer examination suggests it may be later 19th/earlier 20th century in date.
But if it is, how on earth did it end up in a Sussex field? 2/6
