I don’t know what the UK ME Association is doing, but I can’t rhyme their recent statement with the documentation.

On 19 November 2013, the association members voted on, and approved, renewed Articles of Association. (AoANov13) Sent to Companies House the same month.
Regarding use of property, these were articles 4 & 28 at the time. (pics)
I see several tweets that use an article based on Stephen Staus’ words to say that #MECFS was described in the 1650s.
Please don’t repeat this; Based on the sources provided this is historically inaccurate.

This is the article in question. It appeared in April 1991, shortly after Straus, who propagated that ME/CFS was a psychiatric affliction of women, had gotten an article published in January- February 1992 titled “History of chronic fatigue syndrome”.
1/ 🧵 A hallmark of the illness ME, also known as ME/CFS is a bad response to and tolerance of effort and exercise.
I have collected a bunch of papers, threads and articles about this. Unfortunately I do not have the time or energy to write a coherent thread abt it. #MECFS
