“Education is a public good, not a private one. Our kids deserve better than fly-by-night crooks who open for-profit schools on the quick & cheap with uncertified teachers & no standards. That’s what we’re seeing in other states w/ bloated, unaccountable voucher programs" #txlege
“Money can produce shoddy research & public opinion polls..but it can’t change the truth..vouchers are antithetical to our Texas values, & lawmakers shouldn’t be swayed by testimony from folks w/ no skin in the game who are flown in to bolster their extremist agenda.” @DrDeMatt

Do you know what Dr. Cottrill's current role is? He oversees the TEA division CURRENTLY investigating IDEA for misuse of public funds.
🧵 #TxEd
The investigation into IDEA has been ongoing since May 2021 based on evidence “that senior IDEA executives used IDEA financial and staff resources for their personal benefit.”
These findings resulted in the firing of IDEA’s CEO and COO. #TxEd

FACT: COVID-19 is three times more infectious and more deadly than the seasonal flu. In fact, COVID has killed more than 10 times as many people as the worst flu season of the past decade.
