What a disappointingly short-sighted article. China is becoming more aggressive both in terms of trade and military policies by the day. Switching to a business-as-usual approach for the sake of short-term profits strikes me as naive at best. (1/5)
The same approach towards Russia after the fall of the Soviet Union led to the rise of the Putin administration. A short phase of profitable trade with Russia was followed by the massive fallout the western world, led by the US, is dealing with today. (2/5)
