I just finished my umpteenth viewing of one of my favorite films: 1996's #ThatThingYouDo! And, as I always do when I watch it, I feel like waxing rhapsodic about it.

Just like its spiritual predecessor, #AHardDaysNight, it's impossible to feel bad after seeing #ThatThingYouDo. I feel like doing another mega thread today. Today it'll be about a topic near & dear to my heart, the DC Animated Universe. I'm going to talk about how #BatmanTheAnimatedSeries improved on the comics in places. (And I may talk about the other shows like #SupermanTheAnimatedSeries and #JusticeLeague as well. This is a very interesting question: Why have the C-Men sustained their popularity over decades while the Titans haven’t? I have a few ideas… The original concept of the Titans was simple. They were the sidekicks of DC’s superheroes forming their own team. But since those characters have all grown up and others have joined who don’t have that sidekick history, they’ve become less distinctive.
