Ds currently sit at 51-49 with a guaranteed loss in WV.
So the strategy of keeping our majority runs through a flawless defense of every other D seat, and hopefully flipping two tough GOP seats.
Race: Montana (#MTSen)
Democrat: Jon Tester (@jontester)
Flip/Hold: Hold
Facts: If Tester can put together a coalition (Ds, Rs, Is, Indigenous, environmentalists), he can win against his scandal-plagued opponent. Our toughest race this year.
Stopping Trump means more than just winning the Electoral College Vote.
It also means looking at the entire chess board and seeing where we can guard against GOP interference.
Our best opportunity to do so:
The PA State Legislature.
PA currently has a 🔴 State Senate and a 🔵 State House.
Key: Unlike most states, PA’s State Legislature is sworn in on DECEMBER 1ST...BEFORE their electors meet.
If Dems win full control of the PA Legislature on 11/5, we remove a major lever of power the GOP has to interfere.

Time for a tutorial in right-wing media propaganda.
I came across this local print edition of the Epoch Times delivered to the mailbox of someone I know.
It has the look and feel of a standard local paper, w/ a front page featuring local stories.
But let’s look closer…
First let’s zoom in on the top of the front page.
The paper slyly promotes the Epoch Times video website featuring a documentary about “The Real Story of January 6” and a story about “Unusual Blood-clotting” (anti-vax conspiracy theories).
But that’s just the start…

We’ve now had *2* major accusations against Biden that have been refuted:
1. Robert Hur’s accusation about Biden’s cognition, which was belied by his own words in the transcript.
2. The GOP’s accusation of Biden taking bribes, which fell apart when their witness was indicted.
Republicans have relied heavily on both of these false narratives, and both have crumbled away.
Impeachment is going nowhere and Biden’s SOTU killed their ‘Sleepy Joe’ approach.
That’s a big problem for the GOP.
Why? Two reasons.

I really encourage everyone to read this conversation with @SimonWDC (posted by @atrupar without a paywall; thank you Aaron!).
There are some great electoral and political insights that cut through many of the BS media narratives that we are being fed. publicnotice.co/p/simon-rosenb…
I love this part.
Many of us are still so traumatized by 2016 that we've created this mythology around Trump and his abilities.
But the data points to 2016 having been - dare I say - a fluke.
Don't get me wrong, a fluke could happen again.
But not if we put in the hard work.

Yesterday was a test.
Some passed. Others failed.
And there are many lessons to be learned.
A thread on Hur, Biden, the Special Counsel report, and those who reported on it.
⬇️⬇️⬇️
Yesterday’s biggest failure easily belongs to the media.
They gullibly reported Robert Hur’s blatantly partisan opinions as though they were facts of the case.
Hur played the media like a fiddle, and they danced along to the beat.

Quick story/thread:
Today I remembered that I have an old-coworker/friend who lives in #NY03.
So naturally I texted her to find out whether she was going to vote early (or at all), what she's seeing on the ground, etc.
Couple of interesting tidbits...
First, my friend is a registered Independent who pretty consistently votes blue. Her husband is also an independent, but I'm not sure how he votes.
Anyhow, she's been getting Suozzi people knocking on her door one a week and 3 fliers a day, also for Suozzi.
She's in Nassau btw.

🎉TOP 10 ELECTION WIN COUNTDOWN OF 2023🎉
I’ll take actual election results over pointless polls any day.
So instead of fretting, let’s take a moment to celebrate our big electoral wins this year.
We’ve earned it!
10. Virginia State Senate Special Election
This January 2023 Special Election - which saw Democrat Aaron Rouse flip a red seat blue - foreshadowed what was to come in November:
A good night for VA Democrats and a bad night for VA Republicans.

🚨THE 10 MOST IMPORTANT ELECTIONS OF 2023🚨
There are major elections this November that require our time, our effort, our donations, and our votes.
Here is a 🧵 of my Top 10.
🗳️VIRGINIA STATE SENATE🗳️
Virginia State Senators serve 4 year terms.
So winning this chamber will be a bulwark against total GOP control in Virginia for 4 years.
Control of the Virginia Senate is the most important outcome this November.
A 'Speaker Jim Jordan' is our biggest threat right now.
Yes, some Republicans are vowing not to vote for him.
But I fully believe that they would cave under pressure.
To those with GOP Reps, ESPECIALLY in Biden-won districts:
Call them.
Demand that they not support Jordan.
If 'moderate' Republicans are going to feel pressure from their 'extreme MAGA' wing, then they also need to feel pressure from their 'sane constituent' wing.
Remember, if you call:
1. ONLY call YOUR Member of Congress.
2. Be polite - but firm - to the person who answers.

Insane.
Post-vaccine, Republicans had a 43% higher Covid death rate than Democrats.
In what must be one of the cruelest and dumbest political movements ever, the right literally sacrificed their own voters in an effort to appeal to their ignorant base.
I mean even setting aside the ethical/moral implications and viewing it from a purely political/cynical perspective, why would a party purposely engage in messaging THAT KILLS THEIR OWN VOTERS?!

Holy sh*t.
GOP officials in McCurtain County, OK caught on tape talking about wanting to lynch black people and how to kill/burn/bury local journalists.
This is KKK stuff, folks.
Revealed by a small local paper called the McCurtain-Gazette News.
It gets worse.
The officials in question:
Sheriff Kevin Clardy (GOP)
District 2 Commissioner Mark Jennings (GOP)
Investigator Alicia Manning
Jail Administrator Larry Hendrix
Since the pundits rarely acknowledge when our Vice President has a good run of headlines, let's take a moment to appreciate the kick-ass job she is doing right now.
Just take a look at the headlines she’s been getting the last few weeks.
Kamala Harris wasted no time going to Tennessee and meeting with Justin Pearson and Justin Jones over their unjust removal from the TN House and the GOP's assault on democracy.

Look at this seemingly-endless line of young voters getting ready to cast their ballots at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
If this happens at college campuses across the country, there’s no telling what we might accomplish on Tuesday.
Let’s go!
Here’s the line of students at University of Texas at Austin, which was double the size as the day before:

When Pete Buttigieg comes for someone, he doesn’t carry a sledgehammer…he wields a scalpel.
And in this must-see clip, Pete slices Ron DeSantis into a million little pieces.
Since this is taking off, allow me to draw attention to a few threads I've put together on vital elections this November.
A) There is a House GOP bill called 'The Life at Conception Act' (H.R. 1011) - also known as a 'personhood' bill - that would declare life as starting at ‘the moment of fertilization'?
B) Of its 166 co-sponsors, many are running in very close races?
