On Wednesday, we witnessed a highly coordinated disinformation campaign led by Brooklyn Museum as well as Zionist politicians, and mainstream media outlets including the New York Times aimed at discrediting pro-Palestine protesters, drawing attention away from legitimate grievances against the museum and ultimately justifying the continuation of genocide in Gaza. This blatant propaganda, which equates anti-Zionism with anti-Semitism, only makes the Brooklyn Museum's complicity in genocide more obvious.
Brooklyn Museum officials have been working overtime to maintain the institutions veneer of "progressivism" despite ordering riot cops to attack artists in their lobby, and ignoring their own workers' calls for divestment. These actions reveal the true nature of the museum, and no amount of progressive posturing can change that.
