This is racism. For those who want me to soften it up, this is very clearly coded racial bias.

I’m not shocked given who it’s coming from.

this is a mindset that a lot of coaches subconsciously reinforce on their teams w/o recognizing it.

A thread on coaching On its face, its not necessarily treating anyone wrong based on some trait.

However, the technique you might show or how you develop your team might changed depending on your roster.

Ex. Focusing more on technical aspects b/c you don’t have ppl who aren’t deemed as “athletes”

Y’all really would’ve had to have been in that #ASHE session last week, b/c I’m not cappin when I say every single person in that room was engaged in critical conversation around college athletics in a way I’ve never seen in a HESA space. Largely that’s due to us not being given A space to have those convos with others in the field. There weren’t just only college sports scholars in there. Ppl love saying sports aren’t political but political news outlets do this. Cut the shit.
