Thread 1/8: NEW @EJEndo paper out now from our group: Classic androgens and 11-oxygenated androgens in serum and saliva across adulthood: a cross-sectional study analysing the impact of age, body mass index, and diurnal and menstrual cycle variation academic.oup.com/ejendo/article… Thread 2/8: In the adrenal, androstenedione (A4) can be converted to 11-hydroxyandrostenedione (11OHA4), previously considered a dead-end metabolite. @KarlStorbeck showed that 11OHA4 is activated to 11-ketotestosterone (11KT), an androgen of equal potency to testosterone (T).
