When the paperwork in Victoria McCloud's application to the European Court of Human Rights eventually becomes publicly available, it's going to be interesting to see who actually 'lodged' the application. 🧵 The founder, executive director and chief gavel banger at the Trans Legal Clinic, Olivia Campbell-Cavendish, is not a qualified solicitor. In fact, he only got his law degree from King's College London this summer.

On 3 June, Jolyon Maugham KC and his @GoodLawProject launched a crowdfunder in support of their intervention in the High Court, where the @EHRC's landlord was - later that same day - seeking an injunction against protests outside the EHRC's office by Trans Kids Deserve Better. 🧵 Somewhat unusually, the crowdfunder was launched on @CrowdJustice, rather than on the GLP's own website (as has been the norm for several years now).

As with the 'EHRC consultation' data grab launched by Angry Dad on Sunday, the GLP will receive a copy of the data of those who use the new tool to send an email to their local MP, about a mass lobby on 25 June organised by Trans Solidarity Alliance.

It is now more than 12 months since Jolyon 'Angry Dad' Maugham KC and his (Not Very) Good Law Project were last able to celebrate one of their crowdfunders resulting in a positive outcome. 🧵 The Good Law Project's Net Zero 2 crowdfunder was launched in July 2023. So it is 22 months since they last launched a successful crowdfunder.

In fact, the Net Zero 2 crowdfunder is the *only* successful GLP crowdfunder launched since 1 January 2023.
