1/ 'Among the SHA’s chief complaints were that the “before” period of traffic measurement was prior to the pandemic' How exactly was TES supposed to do a before period that was NOT before the pandemic?
2/'and the “after” period was during a time when most people were still working from home and traveling less.' So they wanted the analysis to wait? Okay, but the review was mandated by Council. Of course it can be reviewed again whn the pandemic is over. When will that be?

1. #AlexandriaWest planning process under way. There will be no advisory group, so in addition to participating in the outreach process, I will be making some points here.
2. This neighborhood already has a fair amount of housing, but it fails to be leverage that for walkability, because it was built when retail and housing were largely kept separate. It is essential that we focus on mixed use, incorporating retail and service throughout
Both current and potential riders are heavily low and moderate income – improved transit for them would improve equity
A significant number of lower income residents of Alexandria do not own cars. Many more low and moderate income residents are car lite, owning only one car in a multi adult household. They rely on buses to get to work, shopping and errands.
