Ile-Iyan Rebuttal: As one who has built a household nationwide brand with 100% personal funds and zero investors, or silent money, this is a situation many of us pray not to encounter, so I will address it understanding how both sides feel.
I have been approached numerous times to bring in partners with offers over a Billion and my response has always been "No thanks". I don't like the concept of silent partners with ability to put up a lot of money in exchange for a smaller equity.

Sheriff founder of @ileiyan_ng may have his shortcomings and the lengthy narration by @Wizarab10 laced with accusations is often an easy characterization brought up when hostile takeovers are initiated. A 30% stake in a business means the new partner sees a pathway to profitability and this was the case with Ile-Iyan.
When founders accept investments to scale brick and mortar operations to multi-city or regional expansion, the rules of engagement are different.

Transitioning from a sole proprietor background, which Sheriff the founder of Ile-Iyan was into a partnership structure, is a process that requires re-orientation, a mature team, systems and processes to minimize risks, ensure compliance and avoid the trappings of financial misteps.
If PODS claims to have the organizational maturity, human assets and an efficient operational team, it means they had all the opportunities to limit exposure given the revelations being made. Instead it my “assumption” they allowed for due process to be sidestepped to create a pathway for what’s occurring currently.

I will only limit my opinions or comments on this matter to the fact, that it is a hostile takeover in progress, as referenced in their own summary.
The request for to a court to wind down a young man's dream is the business outcome many who haven't birthed businesses from passion or dedication to a craft can never understand.
The concept of "Ile-Iyan" as a curated pounded yam diner belongs to Sheriff! People are free to launch any businesses, but shamelessly masking the set up of another brand with the same identity is callous!
This vulturistic approach to business dealings is one I personally detest. You don't re-use the name of an existing brand by another founder you are in disputes with, before resolving a legal suit in a court of law.

It's opportunistic and definitely a lazy approach to building any brand worthy of positive “brand equity” for the long term.

Musty and Sheriff could have built a very successful local brand, however a short lived partnership of 4 months with one party starting another brand with the same name only indicates this was never meant to be a long term.
I hoped we will not get to the point of publishing personal information on this app, but the accusations of gross financial misappropriations, promotion of illegal substances, nepotism and the so called “Japa” tale needs to be debunked. “Japa tale” - Sheriff and his wife an accomplished Pharmacist began processing a Canadian residency in 2022, before Ile-Iyan was even founded. At the time the business was called Sannikayz. He obtained an approval for Canadian residency was approved in December 2023, meanwhile investment conversations commenced in November 2023 between Musty and Sheriff.
There were conversations between Sheriff and Musty updating him on the relocation plans with an opportunity to launch Ile-Iyan in Canada. Sheriff’s absence may have created a few gaps but he was hands on fully and did everything within his capacity to ensure there was business continuity.
