Very educative message, need of time.

In a meeting, Guru ji asked a 30-year-old youth to stand up during his discourse.

- You are walking on Juhu Chowpatty in Mumbai and a beautiful girl is coming from the front, so what will you do? The young man said - She will be seen, and he will start seeing her personality.

Guru ji asked - After that girl has moved forward, so will you look back too?

The boy said - yes, if my wife is not with me . (everyone laughs in the meeting)

Thief of Joy!

Received this story on WA, do read it full and let me know if you experienced this in life.

I was Cycling this morning and I noticed a person about half a km ahead.

I could guess he was Cycling a little slower than me and...

@anexcommie @shreekanth2020 ...that made me feel good, I said to myself I will try catch up with him.

So I started Cycling faster and faster. Every block, I was gaining on him a little bit. After just a few minutes I was only about 100 feet behind him, so I really picked up the pace and...

Suprabhātam friends and family!

This story is specially dedicated to COVID warriors and ppl suffering from it. Pls read thru.

Once, there were *five lamps* burning in a house. One fine day one of the lamps said - Even after burning and giving them...

@anexcommie ...*my light*, people have no appreciation for it.

It would be better if I get extinguished. The lamp extinguished considering it as meaningless to continue to give light.

Do you know what the lamp represented? The lamp symbolised *enthusiasm*.

Jogajog and Sanjog

A Monk of the Ramakrishna Mission was being interviewed by a journalist from NY. The journalist started
interviewing the Monk as planned earlier.

@anexcommie @shreekanth2020 Journalist - "Sir, in your last lecture, you told us about "Jogajog" (Contact) and "Sanjog" (Connection). It's really confusing. Can you explain?"

The Monk smiled and apparently deviating from the question asked the journalist:

"Are you from New York?"

Journalist: "Yeah.."

If anyone believes tht Cong is out of pic in Indian polity, cos they have no presence in many states, then you're being naive.

A party, which has been in the corridor of powers for more than 70 yrs, cannot be disposed off in mere yrs.

@anexcommie @Kishoreciyer1 @shreekanth2020 Today's #CongressToolKit proves my belief, tht Cong has other things in mind. If they cannot be King, they wanna be Kingmaker.

If they cannot be part of government, they merely contest to cut into votebank of other parties (which is almost always BJP).

We hv endless problems today and most of them r self-created. Surprised?

Read on.

To solve any problem requires a stable and presence of mind. An anxious mind is no less then a turbulent ocean. In such a mindset, even if solution presents itself, we ignore it. @anexcommie Here's couple of incident to highlight this fact (courtesy - WhatsApp forward)

Napoléon Bonaparte is a well-known French Military Commander, he was defeated by allied forces in his last battle and was sent on exile to the island of Saint Helena off the coast of Africa...

Suprabhātam, dear friends & family!

We often find ourselves in a testing situation and at times feel lost. One of my teachers told me tht only 5% of our worry is caused by actual problem, rest 95% is how we're gonna react. Found this wonderful story tht exemplifies this msg. Once upon a time a daughter complained to her father that her life was miserable and that she didn’t know how she was going to make it. She was tired of fighting and struggling all the time. It seemed just as one problem was solved, another one soon followed.

We all play one role or another in this arena called Life. And our role are not always voluntary or enjoyable. But, there's a reason to 'play fool'. Let me explain with small story.

Playing the Fool

@anexcommie @shreekanth2020 @HelloNNewman @GunduHuDuGa There once lived a great mathematician in a village outside Ujjain. He was often called by the local king to advice on matters related to the economy. His reputation had spread as far as Taxila in the North and Kanchi in the South.

Hello Dear Tweeples! Wishing you all on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritiya and Bhagwān Parashuram Avtaran Diwas!

On this occasion, let's look at one of the imp aspect of humans - EQ (Emotional Quotient).

@anexcommie @shreekanth2020 @HelloNNewman @GunduHuDuGa Am not sure how many of us are aware the vital role EQ plays in shaping us who we're. I read somewhere tht the EQ amongst humans have considerably gone down over yrs while imp is given to IQ.

Let me share a real life story.

*The 10th Apple effect*

A hunter once lost his way deep inside the jungle while chasing a deer. He used all his navigation skills but neither did he find any way out of the jungle nor could he find any food to eat for 8 days at a stretch.

@anexcommie He started feeling so damn hungry that he could eat an entire elephant at one go. Disappointed, he lost all hope. And that is exactly when an apple tree caught his sight. He collected a dozen apples to feed him for the rest of his search.

A short story to ponder on this weekend.

*A Crow and Garuda*

*"Just Drop - Let Go"..*

Once a Crow, holding on to a piece of meat was looking for a place to sit & eat.

However, a flock of Eagles were chasing it.

@anexcommie @ The crow was anxious and was flying higher and higher, yet eagles were after the poor crow.

Just then "Garuda" saw the plight and pain in the eyes of the crow. Coming closer to the crow, he asked:

"What's wrong? You seem to be very "disturbed" and in "stress"?"..

Last week we celebrated Hindu New Year. Do you know that as per Indian Panchang system, each year has a specific name? And that each name has a meaning? There are 60 names of years (Samvatsars). Each name replays after 60 years. The year 19-20 named ‘Vikari’ lived up to its name by being a ‘repulsive’ year.

The year 20-21 was named ‘Sharvari’ meaning darkness and it did push the world into a dark place.

Now the ‘Plava’ year (21-22) is beginning. ‘Plava’ means that which ferries us across.

#Thread on Gorakanathar Siddhar.

@LostTemple7 His origin story is interesting, though I couldn’t verify it’s authenticity, so not sharing the story here. He’s shishya of Machamuni Siddhar and also learnt from Agasthiya Siddhar.

In the quoted thread, I (re)introduced Varma Kalai few days back. Today, let us look at one of its components – AdiMurai!

#Thread

AdiMurai is the combat branch of Varma Kalai, which literally translates to ‘Methods of Attack’.

@LostTemple7 @Lost_History1 @HelloNNewman AdiMurai is believed to be developed and introduced in Tamil Nadu by Siddhars (my main reason for interest in this topic). As mentioned in my previous thread, AdiMurai was patronized by the ‘Moovendhars’ (three great Kings) or in this case dynasties: Pandyas, Chozhas, and Cheras.

#Thread on Varma Kalai

Today, am not sure how many of us have heard about Varma Kalai. Even if one were to have heard about it, they’d only know Varma Kalai as a form of Martial arts, thanks largely to the silver screen representation (Kamal Hassan’s character in Indian). What many might not know is Varma Kalai at its core is a healing art form.

Varmam are the points where life force resides and flows in the human body. Varmam also means where breathing energy resides in the body (Vaakata Nithanam : Verse 31). @anexcommie @shreekanth2020 @shri_v

Hello Dear Tweeples, today we’re gonna look at a Siddhar who made significant contribution in building the renowned Brihadeeswara Temple – Karuvoorar Siddhar. We’ll come to that aspect of things a bit later, first let’s get to know about the Siddhar’s life.

@LostTemple7 There are different theories about Karuvoorar Siddhar’s birth & origin. While one theory suggest that he is the same as ‘Karuvoorar Devar’ – a Shaiva Saint. The other – widely accepted – theory is that he’s born in a family of Sthapathis or murti architects from Karuvoor +
