The Asian man behind Biden on the dais and following him throughout the day is Secret Service agent David Cho, recently named to lead Biden's presidential detail (per @CarolLeonnig):
washingtonpost.com/politics/secre… "Known as a perfectionist supervisor, he had risen to become the second-in-command of the protective detail during the Trump administration."

Couple things going on here:

1) Unlike the 2016 Tsai-Trump call, this might be the most direct congratulations we'll see between Taiwan and the U.S. (Replace Tsai with Taiwan's de facto ambassador, speaking not to Biden but to his foreign policy advisor @ABlinken.) 2) The replies to @bikhim's tweet questioning Biden's win show the extent to which disinformation about the U.S. election has spread overseas.

My colleagues @emilyrauhala & @LovedayM had a good story about how that's becoming an extreme problem elsewhere:

Town hall with @ewarren starting shortly in Arlington, Virginia. This is Warren’s first public campaign event since the New Hampshire primary. @ewarren Turnout of 4,000+, per campaign, including a line of people out the door still hoping to get into the overflow space. Remains to be seen if Warren changes her message at all after Iowa and NH.

Justice Ginsburg (visiting @gwlaw) contrasts her confirmation process to Kavanaugh’s, says it was “truly bipartisan” back then. “The way it was was right. The way it is is wrong... I wish I could wave a magic wand and have it go back to the way it was.” #RBG Someone asks if #RBG uses a smartphone. She says yes — and that her favorite app is a noise machine app that allows her to fall asleep right away when traveling.
