Depending on who you ask, you will receive various answers for this question. And sometimes, it gets even more confusing.

So here's my Opinion about the same.

I remember this case from a few months ago. Early morning hours. Shifts were changing. The casualty staff had just come in, and soon ran in a frantic couple with their child. Probably 10 years old or so, he looked afraid.
"What happened?" the ever-calm Casualty Medical Officer (CMO) asked, while seemingly shaken within.

"Our child was hit on his down-place, it is swollen now."

"Show me," he motioned them to lay the child on a nearby bed...

🟨 3 Tips for Medical Residency for Newbies 🟨

If given the choice and time, one could come up with a comprehensive guide for Medical residency, how to deal with it etc.
But it might be too confusing, generalised, boring; and maybe not worth my time because no one would read it. ❤️Tip 1
Take Care of Your Health
Most common advice. Most neglected one too.
Your Health is your only True Wealth now.
But the question is how to take care of health?

Frankly, do not expect 8 hours of beauty sleep, 5 hours of recreation, and a smooth workflow
Plan stuff properly

🟪 For MBBS Newcomers 🟪

So you have been allotted an MBBS Seat and now you are on your journey to the incredible world of Medicine!
But no one's telling you what the journey is going to be like, where the stops are, and where it is that you are going?

Maybe this will help you 🟥 Disclaimer 🟥

This thread is not about future career prospects, nor does it talk about NEET/PLAB/USMLE etc. Nor will I talk about specialty.
If that if what you are here for, it would be in vain.

🟩Setting Our Sights On...🟩
- by @arshiet

🟡Loosely based on a true story🟡

Uncle Girish was a quiet man, growing quieter as he grew old. But he was still content with what he had. All was well until Smita Aunty noticed he was finding it difficult to read his morning prayers. "I think we should go to the doctor," she said, "before something worse happens."

"I don't have many years left now—"

"Shut up! Don't talk nonsense. We are so lucky that Pranav is an ophthalmologist!"

Girish Uncle nodded, and were thrown down memory lane.

💟For Final Year MBBS Students💟
(And Anyone Else Interested in Medical Studies)

⏺️ Context
This is something I wrote during my internship, and then had forwarded it to around 3 subsequent junior batches. Now, because times are changing, everything cannot be relevant today. ⏺️ Introduction
Final Year is Overhyped.
Yes, it really is.
Only real distinguishing factor is the bigger syllabus.
But the factor that we must address first, is "Lack of Orientation"
The vast syllabus is overwhelming, and one is suddenly pushed into a running a race.

1 a.m. Casualty Scenes, during my Internship Days
An injured old man was brought in by his son. After a fall, he had sustained several contussed, lacerated wounds (CLWs)

As an intern, my task was to stitch them up with 'stay' sutures, to stop the bleeding, minimise infection It was a very busy casualty. I was the only person available for the job. Everyone else had different patients to attend to. Also, the minor OT was a few metres away from the casualty, so I was the only person around.
1 attendant was on duty there but he was running around,

💟 Tip Time 💟
--> "Fainting"

A few hours ago I asked people if they had fainted in Med Training, and I got mixed responses. So, in case you want to know how to tackle it, read on.

I am no expert, but these 3 tips might help.
Why 3? Because it is easy to remember than a chapter 0️⃣ Food and Water
Most common advice is to go to duty with food in your stomach. But also the most neglected. And... people forget that water is imp to sustain life.
This is not a 'tip', because this is like common knowledge, and prerequisite to minimise chance of fainting. Next?

While having a cup of tea tonight, I was reminded of my internship days. I was posted in ObGy, and one night, after having our late night tea, I was heading over to sleep, while my co-intern took over after 2 hours of beauty sleep. I had just fallen into deep sleep when... a series of loud knocks on the open door woke me up. I instantly knew what had happened; my co-intern said it out loud anyway. "You need to go for a C-section."
An outstation patient had arrived, and she was to be taken up for emergency surgery immediately.
