@wearesaladHQ is not a condom brand anymore.

This, despite:
🤯 selling 20,000 boxes of condoms through our Shopify and channel partners with $0 marketing. Only WOM and Organic PR.
🤯 52% of our customers were women.
🤯 features in top publications across the country. Why we choose to pivot:

⚡ Retention: Even though women (and some men) were excited to try out the product, most of their partners refused to continue using condoms at all. Speaks to the 5.6% use of condoms in our country.

Salad 1.0 was introduced as ultra-thin, vegan contraceptives to the world in June 2021. We launched it as a Shopify-first store put together over a weekend.

(1/n) By Dec '21, we'd been featured in @VOGUEIndia, @viceindia + @viceasia, @BrutIndia, @FinancialTimes @thebetterindia. We also sold ~20k boxes of condoms within the first couple of months through our @Shopify, partners like @SangyaProject, Manzuri, and @WagonVanity.
