Tracing Park Hae Young’s filmography is really indicative of how important the PD-writer synergy is for a drama. Both of her dramas before #MyLiberationNotes were hits, but I think for different reasons. 🧵 I wonder if Oh Hae Young Again would have been the same drama w/another director less inclined to pursue the “comedy” of the rom-com angle. I’m not sure if PHY wrote it with the same intentions as the director; the comedy in it is a whiplash from the crucial themes of the show.
