Eating disorders and sport, along with Relative Energy in Sport (RED-S) are complex. Both have a significant impact on athletes, from physical to mental health and performance. Tonight’s @BBCPanorama will explore some of this & may be difficult viewing.
Athletes are in a difficult position. There can be a sense that weight is front and centre in performance, with a focus on ‘ideal or race weight’ in elite sport or a specific sport & expectations around living up to sport norms. @BBCPanorama
