If my physical health matched my will, the Tories reign of corruption would be OVER ALREADY. Their days are numbered, that number is small. #EndFPTP #ToriesOUT

Three important fundraisings I'd like to draw attention to. If you're in a donating-to-a-good-cause, frame of mind, I can thoroughly recommend any and all of these. Details to follow, re. @raavalicious, @KateHerrity / @WarrCriminology, and @wordglass 1/x @raavalicious @KateHerrity @WarrCriminology @wordglass Firstly, @raavalicious is a researcher into Multiple Sclerosis, and her research is focused on improving the quality of lives of those affected by this as-yet-incurable disease. She's also raising funds throughout May, because May 30th is World MS Day.

Not often I agree with Angry Anderson, but I suspect this might be his only 100% correct statement he has uttered during his Labour Party /Conservative and Unionist Party / Reform "Company" political AHEM "career". @RishiSunak prove him WRONG, empirically. I had my chimney swept Image @RishiSunak I was a good Conservative voter with love in my heart; I employed a flat-cap doffing, forelock-tugging people, who had the entrepreneur spirit. He brought along his own half-starved unaccompanied migrant child, proceed for a dodgy handshake and swift hand job from "someone".

I have a slightly quirky relationship with music, which is that it is THE most visceral sensory experience, for me, and is THE most impactful sensory input method, for me. Except when it isn't. And the thing that gets in the way, curiously, is my sense of bodily connection. 1/2 What this means is that when I don't feel "well" in my body, then music becomes more like noise, more dissonant, less musical. The less physically well I feel, the less likely music will make sense to me. Which is really, REALLY annoying, because music can be really helpful. 2/3

True fact: I've been a fan of Saga since I first bought a copy of "Heads or Tales" in 1983. I also vividly remember playing side one of "Worlds Apart" in my neighbour Doug's room, the last night of my (first) first year at @Kings_College, January 1984. 1/x
Bizarrely (which is how my memory works these days, oy) it was while walking past the corner of Market Square yesterday (where Andy's Records used to have a permanent pitch outside the then branch of Barclays Bank) that I remembered that factoid. Doug, Jennie and I, and Saga. 2/x

So, by ones and twos, maybe soon by tens and twenties... @AdamHollowayMP your tenure as #ConSelfServative MP for #Gravesham is coming to an end. And, if I have my way, so is the tenure of EVERY MP that won't vote for #ElectoralReform. Because 1/2 I am launching a non-partisan campaign group on Tuesday, with the primary aim of identifying either a) the "best" candidate to tactically vote for, in each constituency, to get 326 or more #ProPR MPs elected at the next General Election; or b) where no such candidate exists, 2/3

So, last night I took two guests to High Table at @Kings_College and we could not have been made more welcome. I've never lost sight of the enormous privilege that studying at Cambridge represents, and the benefits it has brought me ever since. "High Table" sounds out of time; NO When I was at King's, 1983 to 1987, I was aware that King's viewed itself as more than a little different to most other Cambridge Colleges. Not for nothing was it referred to, by ourselves AND by others, as the People's Republic of King's. A very diverse, eclectic student body.

The first tentpole principle of my campaign to be elected as #MP of #Gravesham is that I will NOT take £84k - I'll take the salary of a qualified nurse, on a general surgery ward, with five years experience. Which is what I think ALL MPs should be paid.
msn.com/en-gb/health/o… The second tentpole principle is that I will NOT take any additional jobs, other than MP. Representing all of my constituents will be my highest priority, and I don't see how part-time MPS with second, third, fourth, fifth jobs can reasonably claim to do that. 2/x

So, standing for election is one thing; having a plan to win that election against an 18 year incumbent is another; and knowing HOW to represent ALL of my constituents fairly, inexpensively, effectively while only taking the wage of a qualified Nurse and NO expenses? 1/2 And taking NO second, third fourth, fifth jobs while MP? While allowing a majority of my constituents the power to recall me at ANY time? And working tirelessly to end the archaic, unfit-for-purpose #FirstPastThePost electoral system that keeps #ConSelfServative and Labour 2/3

Oh my giddy Aunt - @ByDonkeys have pulled off yet another blinder. This would bring ANY other "government", of any era, crashing down, as the conventions of Erskine May, and the notion of "all Members of Parliament being honourable" just DO NOT APPLY to these criminal scum. 1/2 @ByDonkeys The clock is weel and truly ticking for these #ConSelfServative #ToryScum who have plundered hundreds of billions of pounds from the public purse, for themselves, their overseas paymasters, and their mates. They will be booted out of office by December 2024 at the LATEST 2/3

Their whole charade is in tatters. The momentum has about reached a tipping point, and I'm calling it now - they won't survive to a General Election at the end of 2024. They'll be out of office THIS year. I will vote tactically to get @AdamHollowayMP ousted as my MP, but then 1/x @AdamHollowayMP Tactically hereabouts means voting Labour. I will vote Labour to remove a #ConSelfServative MP. I'm an ex-Labour Party member who then joined @TheGreenParty as the only truly socialist *electable* party then available to me 2/x

So, in years past, I have praised @ProtonMail for the awesomeness of their services, and praising their policy of providing FREE encrypted email and allied services to those who need them, but can't pay for them, to the extent of having paid for my ProtonMail for years. NOW.. 1/x @ProtonMail ... I am in a support loop where I am unable to get a resolution to a simple issue, for which multiple valid and secure solutions are available, leaving me unable to access my primary email account, which ALSO means I am locked out of numerous services. 2/x

Full disclosure. I am a somewhat lazy #GuildWars2 player, in that I will usually skip open-world or story content unless I have a compelling reason to do so. I usually watch a streamer play that kind of content, because I'm a firm believer in OBEs. 1/x So even though I welcome the return, last year, of a version of Living World Season One to the game (which was essential, IMHO, prior to the Steam release) personally I was content to llet @WoodenPotatoes and @PreachGaming play the actual content. Until I had a reason. 2/x

So I literally just learned that @lancereddick died suddenly, and it's kinda knocked me for six. Not only because there were no warnings, or because he's one of my favourite actors, or his superlative voice acting, or... or... but because he was such an amazing human, period. 1/x @lancereddick A long tweet essay follows. Not all about Lance Reddick, but he is a major part of the story. It may take a few hours, I am doing other things. But I'll keep the thread going until I've written it out. Buckle in. 2/x

I have nothing to say about the role of the US - historically, under TFG, or under President Biden - because enough other folks are doing THAT. I speak to England's role in this. This country has meddled in Afghanistan many times, whether from greed, altruism or fear. It's on us. We have a responsibility to the people of Afghanistan, because this country has helped to create the terrible situation there. We have obligations - historical, moral, even legal - and we should stand by those obligations, AND by those who trusted that we would.

I feel this, oh my.

Unpopular opinion incoming, probably, but it's beginning to feel like the karma of hundreds of years of colonial greed and so-called "English Exceptionalism" has finally collapsed the edifice of the position this country used to hold on the world stage. 1/x This country enriched itself by plundering the natural and human resources of over half the world. And deluded itself that it deserved all of this wealth. Well, it really showed the world, by voting for Breakshite, didn't it. 2/x

So, let me tell you about a little project I had been planning, which got overtaken by events earlier in the year. I call it "Paradise (Little) Theater" (1/x)

open.spotify.com/playlist/0LIb9… The sharp-eyed among you might think, well, that's just Styx's 1981 album, "Paradise Theater"... but no. There are three songs on the album that I just don't enjoy - Nothing Ever Goes As Planned, Lonely People, and State Street Sadie, that ruin the flow FOR ME 2/x

It's been kind of awesome, being even just a peripheral part of the @banklessDAO movement specifically (and other DAOs more generally) over the last few months, as it's become clear to me that a DAO is PRECISELY the model I need and want for open-sourcing Homunculus. (1/x) Yesterday, I realised that the philosophies behind DAOs were those that I was trying to make happen in my second attempt at bootstrapping my second company, back in 2013. However, that predated such essentials as Ethereum and NFTs, and second-bootstrapping went on hold. (2/x)

In other news, I saw @mochamomma mention Ted Lasso more than perhaps a few times, and when I finally realised that I could get Apple TV on my Chromecast... well, it would have been churlish not to check out the free first episode.

WORTH.

I'm hooked. I will confess, my primary excitement regarding the discovery of Apple TV capability on the Chromecast was YAY NOW I CAN SEE FOUNDATION WHEN IT AIRS so really, Ted Lasso is the cherry on top of the icing on a very delicious cake.

I can no longer move back there, THANKS, BREAKSHITE, but I can still visit for a while, so I'm deep into clearing out where I'm living, then heading to Berlin for three months. Playing my Berlin songs to summon the mood...

Then, of course...

Interested in your and for rewarding loyal former customers, @cryptocom - you know, the ones who bought and staked THOUSANDS of $CRO before all y'all tanked it early October. 2) Who then stuck by you, hoping that $CRO might recover... who watched with despair as the crypto booms of late December through mid-January had ZERO effect on #CRO's price... and who finally gave up any and all hope, and swapped to more worthwhile cryptoassets. 2/3
