An enormous appeal by @raghu_venugopal on @metromorning for city councillors to respond to the 24/7 need for shelter in the form of respite centres. Ppl should not have to be on TTC, in ER rooms just for warmth. He cites the long history of city council motions.....2
....city council motions indicating shelter system capacity should not be over 90%.
NOTE: this came from #jacklayton showing crowded shelter footage to council. Lastman was the mayor. Since then city dcouncils under Rob Ford & @iamdavidmiller reinforced that same 90% number....3
