No.
No more. I'm fucking done. The horror stories I've heard about people desperately trying to survive under Tory rule just this morning have lit a fire in me.
Those stories include a young girl with a baby who is ALREADY before the massive increase, paying £40 for three days on prepayment just to keep her electric on. A person who used to have a good job at Manchester Airport reduced to borrowing a tenner from a person they never met face to face to put their electric back on so the cheap food they bought won't spoil.

Today would have been my son's birthday. Joseph was autistic, dyslexic and a whole lot of other things. He was high functioning though and he was very intelligent. However he was let down by the education system, some teachers calling him thick and stupid when he certainly wasn't.

It's not just skipping meals. It's not having enough money for heating AND food. No money for clothing and shoes either. Charity shops are shut, and whilst I know that many are expensive some are very cheap. I rely upon them for clothing and household items. It's about not being able to replace items such as washing machines and cookers because you don't have the money to. Can't get credit either because their credit ratings are awful.

So I became ill with #COVID19 4 months ago. I thought that I'd beaten it and started to feel better. I hadn't though. My condition worsened and I was very ill. I had developed pneumonia and pleurisy after having #COVID19 and lve spent the last 4 months fighting this.

Managed to get out of bed and go downstairs this morning. Small steps but #COVID19 batters your body relentlessly and it takes a long time to recover from. Here’s my blog thepoorsideof.life for anyone that hasn’t read it yet. I never thought that I’d be this ill ever. Developing bacterial pneumonia was very scary for me and my daughter. I couldn’t breathe, every small move hurt and made me out of breath. Apparently lots of people develop this after having #COVID19 and thousands have died. Meanwhile #cummnings is allowed to spread the virus

This week I spoke to 2 women both owed council tax and both were being threatened by bailiffs. Both were crying. No one should live in fear like this thepoorsideof.life Can you imagine having bailiffs banging at your door and windows and also shouting through the letter box. It's bloody scary. BTW local councils don't care.

Thread I'm still furious after yesterday. I won't be engaging with any council officials trying to move us. Our priority is claimants needing help. We won't be stopping our demos and I won't be bullied into sibmission. We've already stated where we will stand and we aren't in the way of anyone. Officialsfrom @TamesideCouncil it's our legal right to conduct a peaceful protest and we have done so for over 5 years.

Thread. So you might have seen #IDanielBlake last night and were shocked by it. I've been campaigning for approx 5yrs against the inhumane DWP system I've seen it all, women and children eating the tins of food that we've given them outside the Jobcentre because they were starving. They hadn't eaten properly for days.

Thread. Most of the homeless people that I speak are homeless as a result of #UniversalCredit Credit and failed esa and pip assessments. This will continue untill universal credit is stopped and scrapped. This won't change until the public vote out the @Conservatives in the next general election. If they win the next general election they will rush through all delayed universal credit plans

THREAD.
Ok, as friends will know I live a very frugal life and need to save money whenever possible. Here’s some cheap tips to prepare your home for winter. 1. Check your windows and doors for any gaps that need to be filled. Don’t fill essential air vents though. Use filler, newspaper, rags or anything that you can find. If in rented accommodation report any repairs that need doing.

THREAD. So my daughter is in hospital struggling with a very bad labour. She’s got several health conditions, two of them serious. The ward is massively understaffed at night I was told that they can’t move her or anyone else to the Labour ward atm because there’s only 4 beds there available for the whole of Tameside.

THREAD. Self employment and Universal credit. The first £274->(35 hours at min wage) of a self employed persons wages is not counted. So when the DWP work out your entitlement to benefits, they ASSUME your earning 274 profit a week even if your NOT. Self employed people will see their benefits dropped from say £500 a month to £0 a month. There's 3 million self employed in the UKabout a third will be affected by the minimum income floor, thats 1 million self employed businesses that will have to close when UC rolls out fully

So today went like this. There was a knock at the door. I open the door and a woman is stood there crying telling me that she had no food. So I let her in, made her a cuppa and gave her my dinner which was soup. She hadn’t ate properly for 2 days
