I want to talk about Automated Market Makers (AMMs) which are the dominant decentralised exchanges. You probably have heard about them in DeFi space and you may be wondering what they are, how they work and where the fancy name comes from.
To understand what an AMM is, first you need to know how a centralised exchange (CEX) works.
In a CEX, trading happens in a peer to peer way. Basically, someone who wants to buy/sell an asset at a certain price places a limit order for their intended price.

Appchains are one of the scalability solutions on @Stacks next to subnets. They are not yet released and only an MVP of appchains is running on Stacks mainnet.
An appchain is a full-blown replica of @Stacks blockchain.
It comes with all the functionalities on @Stacks. Think PoX, mining nodes, Stacking, native gas token etc.

We're all stacking or STX and receiving #Bitcoin yield. Everyone is happy and we make memes about a coin that shits Bitcoin. The protocol is growing and new devs are joining.
But there is something in @Stacks ecosystem that bothers me and no one seems to be talking about it.
Whenever I explain @Stacks protocol, I'm asked where does the #Bitcoin yield come from? Of course, we know that the yield is part of Proof of Transfer (PoX) and comes from the miners. I can easily explain go about my way. You can learn more about it here:
DeFi can be quite overwhelming if you're new to finance. There are a lot of new concepts and terminologies that can be overwhelming to understand.
Ahead of @ArkadikoFinance launch, I'm going to explain how you can use Arkadiko and what it offers.
DeFi on Ethereum is quite advanced now. When I stepped into understanding what's going on, I was overwhelmed by the amount of knowledge I did not have and where to begin.

Let's talk about Clarity, the language that brings smart contracts to #Bitcoin.
I will cover the design decisions behind Clarity, and some of the features of Clarity that makes it different from other smart contract languages.
Clarity is built by @hirosystems and @Algorand as part of the @Stacks ecosystem.
It optimises for predictability and security. It is decidable, interpreted, predictable. It has FTs and NFTs embedded in it and has access to the burn chain.
Lots of jargon. Let's dive in.

For many, it is difficult to wrap their heads around Proof of Transfer in @Stacks and how it generates a #Bitcoin yield.
Here is a simple explanation of how and why this happens
One of @Stacks core value propositions is that it is secured by #Bitcoin. How? By batching together the transactions in Stacks, taking the hash and writing that to #Bitcoin (or any other) chain. The chain that the hash is written to is called the burn chain.
How is that done?
