A Singaporean journalist just texted me this clip from OAN, the US broadcaster that regularly pushes out fake news.

The 4.20m clip is going viral in Singapore. 2/
Especially concerning when the Singaporean government is alarmed about increasing vaccine hesitancy among its senior citizens.

I looked it up on Twitter: this story about Uttar Pradesh using Ivermectin to "eliminate" Covid is quite popular in anti-vaxxer circles.

As our democracy disintegrates, we're moving towards a (federal?) two-party structure. The likes of TMC, DMK, Shiv Sena, JMM, Punjab Congress, AAP, CPI-M versus BJP in the states. No united national opposition. What's next: a one-party system or Balkanization? 2/
The more a party differentiates itself from the BJP, the bigger it seems to get. JMM is my usual example. Hemant Soren widened the party's base to include more regions, adivasi communities. Everyone else either aligns with the big two or is eaten up by them.

The Warangal brand of justice is back.

V.C. Sajjanar, Warangal SP in 2008 when 3 acid attack accused were shot dead, is now Cyberabad Commissioner.

If anything, this Deccan Chronicle piece is evidence of premeditation.

There were 12 acid attacks within 8 months of the encounter

Journalism, I think we need to have a conversation about bad bosses and toxic newsrooms. Journalism, I think you need to stop promoting reporters to editors just because they've been good reporters. For starters, most reporters - including me - carry around a massive ego. Rarely makes for good managers.
