De NOS kan het niet allebei hebben. Én enorm “moreel betrokken” (ie moralistisch in toon en gegoten in politiek taalgebruik en keuzes). Én boven elke kritiek verheven.

Maar belangrijker is nog de kwaliteit: de NOS ís vaak gewoon kinderlijk—vaag en algemeen, slecht uitgedrukt etc.

Voorbeelden: Weet iemand, na NOS consumptie, te noemen wáár wélke IDF divisie wát deed in Gaza? Of wat de militaire structuur van Hamas is? Nee. Een bericht is altijd “bij bombardement Gaza komen x mensen om, zegt Hamas”. Maar dat is niet informatief. Wáár? Op wélke gronden?

Er zijn mensen “geïnteresseerd” in dit incident, waaronder— natuurlijk—-iemand die dacht dat ik vanwege “mijn voornaam” wel “niet objectief” zal zijn.

Helaas voor zo iemand zitten er natuurlijk meer mensen in een vliegtuig.

Micro prisma voor: ze weten niéts van het Midden-Oosten. Ze weten niet wie Al-Sisi is; wie Mohammed Morsi was*; dat er 3 Berlijnse Muren staat tussen Egypte en Rafah; dat Rafah ook in Egypte bestond, en daar in 2014 is weggevaagd---door Sisi; dat Egypte al jaren strijd voert in de Sinaï. Etc. *Morsi was natuurlijk de Broederschap kandidaat. Dit betekent níet geheel dat Egypte Hamas niet steunt, dat deed het decennia, voor haar eigen belang, maar desalniettemin is Sisi de *anti*-Broederschap man.

Friedman is excellent. The very fact that Netanyahu would instrumentalize Ben Gvir-type fringe politicians--breaking with decade-long traditions of responsibility-- means that precisely this parliament, and precisely this PM, requires correction and constraint from courts.
