From the looks of his story elements, he was subjected to memory manipulation.

In ET lectures, there was a section where they covered experimental projects that involved external memory modules.

Experiencers seem to refer to them as Downloads @TheUfoJoe 2-In the subjects of the lectures they cover how there is an organic matrix for [memory] storage and an immaterial matrix for [experience/memory] storage.

The ET uses metaphysical techniques to store immaterial process knowledge.
