This is absolute bullshit.

Every domestic student who qualified for Fee-Free TAFE has absolutely worked their arses off in my class. A - rough start for him with multiple cuts & injuries - praised at his work placement for his herb chopping last week.

Looking for a baking apprenticeship now.

Probably should’ve remembered earlier today that I need to have 2 croissants ready for class tomorrow.

Shall we go on a little croissant journey together?

First step - prepare the buerrage - the “butter block”. Image Unroll @threadreaderapp

This discussion has been in my head for a while, and I was going to leave it alone, but I recently supported some friends in regards to some online intimate imagery issues & safety, so that's the place I'm speaking from.

It's about spicy alts. This has absolute nothing to do with morality & the various aspects posting intimate photos involves - I could not give a rat's arse that you post nudes online, and don't judge you for that or the reasons for doing it.

Well I think we can safely say that my second appointment with the Job “Service Provider” did not go well.

First Mr Happy at reception asked me some personal questions in the waiting area that I was reluctant to answer, given that I was surrounded by strangers. People who do not need to hear about my private circumstances.

He then asked if I’d sent in my resume - I replied I wasn’t asked to. He said I didn’t fill in the survey & I replied that’s correct & he asked why.

To put it mildly, I am fucking furious.

Due to his illness the Teen is on a reduced school schedule as we work on his recovery & building up his strength to be able to attend for a full day. So today he attended morning classes & a session with his support teacher.

On the tram home he was confronted in his words “a pack of Boomers”.

Content Warning: Eating Disorder

I haven’t done an update for a while mostly because it’s just been a Ferris wheel - weight goes up, weight goes down, sleep improves, sleep disintegrates, exercise increases & decreases, an exhausting pattern of steps forward & back. We have been working with his school to get him back in regular attendance, which has been improving so far this term. Everyone involved has been very supportive.

I am very understanding of the delays on the Frankston line @metrotrains but we could’ve done with a heads up at Glen Huntly station about which platform the trains towards Frankston are departing from. Thank you. Because we were all on Platform 3 and the train pulled into Platform 2 and we weren’t able to cross at the crossing and make it in time.

TBH during the level removal we could do with more information about which platform the train will be arriving at.

Caulfield South is a small suburb in the south east of Melbourne. Our state electorate is Caulfield. Our state MP is David Southwick (Liberal). David (or his social media team) creates fake accounts on Facebook to post his propaganda. I am admin for a small community group on Facebook. We have not quite 700 members. We like to find lost dogs and cats in the neighbourhood. Working out what bin week it is rates as IMPORTANT.

EM(11): “Mum one of my friends gave me a weird present.”

He pulls a new, wrapped sanitary napkin out of pencil case.

Me: “One of your female friends?”

EM: “Yeah”

Me: “Well maybe she’s hoping you’ll hold onto it for her. Maybe you should keep some in your locker just in case.” EM: “You mean periods just happen???”

Me: “Yeah sometimes. You know what’s worse than keeping a few sanitary napkins in your locker? Walking around with a wad of toilet paper in your pants.”

EM: “What??? Has that ever happened to you??”
