the basic premise that all suffering in life is due to lack of divine grace makes a person vulnerable for con-men , quacks and their enterprise that peddles out 'miracles' I i have heard kanchi mahaperiyava talk on this topic, where his divine grace posits suffering and hardships in a different way..where..all the hardships we face are "vishesha anugraham"of the divine. in comparison,all our pleasures are 'samanya anugraham'
