I spent the last few weeks deep diving into a niche "green energy" program in Florida, one that's been plagued by scandals nationally but also heralded by enviros as a key solution to climate change + hurricanes

I found a huge gap in consumer protection
miamiherald.com/news/local/env… The largest company in Florida, Ygrene Energy, said it planned to restart business this week after bailing on hundreds (maybe thousands) of homeowners and contractors in October. They were... unhappy. And right now, there's nothing to prevent it from happening again

FINALLY. @BrowardVotes is done with the machine recount -- with 15 minutes to spare before the state deadline. Results headed to Tallahassee now. Snipes said these results DO include those 205 votes (with the 23 votes ruled invalid) that Snipes first said she included in the initial count, then said on CNN she didn't.

Dr. Brenda Snipes, Broward SOE, said the county is done counting early voting ballots, with only mail-in and provisional ballots left. She said she’ll have an estimate on how many are left to count “soon” Snipes’ Office has accepted 205 of about 600 provisional ballots. About 30 of those denied provisional ballots were cast by people who already voted by mail and tried to vote again in person.
