Something interesting about writing.
Have you wondered why Arabic is written from right to left (RtL). More accurately, why is English written from left to right (LtR).

Mini thread To attempt the answer the easy way: English was inspired by Latin, whose inspiration goes back to the Phoenicians (who most probably invented writing).
But this obviously doesn't answer the question at all. Why are we writing from left to right?

Ok. A thread on how this not only wrong, but ridiculous. Let's leave theology and go historical, shall we?
If being the custodian is what makes one a Caliph, then I'm here to tell you that the holy prophet PBUH was never the custodian of the two mosques. Never!
1/n In fact, the prophet only had *access* to Mekka in January 630 AD. Just 2 years before his death. And he was never a custodian throughout his life. Does that make a "De-facto" what?
We continue ... 2/n

Let me tell you a short story.

A few months back, after an encounter with a spider in my back yard, I began to wonder when the creepy little bastards are going to go extinct. And allow us to live peacefully.

It is a thread... 1/8 I was hoping spiders would have low sex appetite, like pandas.
Anyway, long story short, I ended up reading papers about spider sex. And BOY! Oh BOY! They are some horny little creeps. 2/8

Haha... Leave the village people alone. There is a clear scientific explanation to the problem at hand.

Mini fun fact!

Combination of colours on bedsheets and bedroom walls can cause serious headache and insomnia.

Thread! 👇🏽 We often ignore this, but colours and complex designs are one of the causes of sleeping disorders and headaches.
Some colors and designs are not conducive for sleep. Although this varies from person to person, there's a general trend. And a gender factor as well.

Nigerian University Ranking:
It is nice to see Nigerian Unis in the World Ranking, albeit, the positions are somewhat embarrassing.
Few important takes from the 2021 Times Ranking.

(mini thread)👇 One good thing is, if the Unis are ranked, then one can see what areas they lack and how to improve on them. Many people are wondering why other Universities like ABU are not even on the list, are they that bad ? Answer is: not necessarily, but it would be important to know why?

Growing up, one of the most helpful things I've learnt is power of writing. A lot of times, one will be arrogant to think he/she has mastered an idea or a concept. Try putting it to paper and you'll see the shock of your life. The shock will start when you take pen and paper, thinking you can produce a whole thesis on a subject matter. Only to see that you cannot make a coherent paragraph.

Okay let's see. First off all, some of the ppl on that panel have a spell on me, I just love them to death. With that unimportant detail stated.
(1) Hon Aisha made the strong case that saying Almajiri school should be absorbed into the current basic education system is. 1/n is just wishful thinking, the current system is already incapacitated talkless of takin new burden. Secondly, she made the argument from legislative pov that 'banning' Almajiranci is out of the question (legally speaking).
(2) Our very own Dr Kere made the pessimistic yet...

Time for some Fun Facts.
We've not had any #FunFact for more than a month now.
Today we will thread about Mother's Love.
I decided to do this after @zeema_k asked a question why Mother's love increases when daughter are away.
As usual, there is something interesting going on. 1/n Let's start with some basic reasons we think we love our mothers. A lot of Love theorist, used to believe it is primarily due to the strong attachments we had as kids because mothers were our source of food and nutrition. But is this true ?? Welcome aboard

There are many tweets going around regarding locally manufactured "Mechanical Ventilators". Made with noble aim of helping Coronavirus patients.
While such innovation are amazing and should be welcomed, it's important we understand what an ICU ventilator is.
A Thread. This thread is just to provide information about the complexity of an automated mechanical ventilator. And why there is such shortage around the globe. Countries are fighting to lay hands on them. And why are they so expensive?
It is a not that simple.
