"Talqīn al-walīd" (educating the kid) is one of many fascinating books written in the medieval time by ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq al-Ishbīlī (known as Ibn al-Kharāṭ) on the most important and authentic ahadith related to social, legal, ethical, & theological. The book consists of 183 hadith. "Talqīn al-walīd" is a trimmed work was generated from
other three books written by ʿAbd al-Ḥaqq: al-Aḥkām al-Kubrā (around 5000 hadith), al-aḥkāmal-wūsṭā, and al-Aḥkām al-ṣughrā (around 1000 hadith).

Ḥanafī dominance over the courts during the 2nd/8th-3rd/9th centuries had put them face to face with all sorts of complicated legal cases. Their literature suggests that fiqh had a huge impact on society, and could not be processed only based upon single solitary bases. Their attempts of fiqh construction showed a sophisticated process, manifesting their craft of connecting dots through al-ashbāh waʾl-naẓāʾir and al-furūq (identical and dissimilar legal issues), digging deeply to find the root (aṣl) of each single legal case (farʿ).

The scholars used to say إن لم تكن عارفاً فكن في قلب عارف (If you are not a knower, be in the heart of knower). These hearts should be selected carefully. Shaykh 'Itr was one of those I chose. Since I left Syria, Shaykh 'Itr didn't leave me. He visited me regularly in my dreams correcting me, teaching, rejoicing, grieving, and celebrating. I received these dreams as a real lesson in my journey.

This day a huge mountain of knowledge, wisdom, tazkiya, humbleness, trustworthiness departs us and leave our world mourning. Nur al-Din 'Itr, the son in law of Shayk Abdullah Siraj al-Din, passed way. 1- This world is safe and existent because of these mountains whose believe that knowledge is a concrete reality applied on the ground and the human beings are manifestations of that knowledge.

1- Knowledge is a concrete reality. It’s not abstract. We see it in the manners and character of those who have it. 2- Anyone who is shy or arrogant will not learn. Seeking knowledge is about making mistakes. If you don’t make mistakes, you are not engaging in the process of learning.
