Returning from walking my dog, I found a large cardboard closet in my front yard.

Homeless people have to sleep outside, and the temperature was around freezing overnight. Cardboard helps.

Or it fell off a truck.

In any case it was broken, saturated with water and in my yard. What would most people do?

What would you do?

I'd say around 99% of people would do nothing, or close to it -- haul it a short distance to some public/service area. And leave it there. Forever.

My garbage can was half full, but this was cardboard.

My blue can was 80% full.
