Black voters were a big topic in last nights #DemDebate w/ candidates going back & forth about them
But there are still ?s about what some Blk voters are looking for from candidates & what that means for who will win their support
Let's go on a thread journey, shall we?
This time last year, we had 2 Black candidates running for president & some of us thought one of these two would be Black voters' choice..
Back then, I had another thread about the complexities of Black voters' Black candidate selection:
History being made on the first day of Black History Month w/ 2 black candidates running for President! This is exciting but begs the ❓how will this affect black voters? Especially since every Dem candidate needs black votes
Im glad you asked. Have I got a thread for you
Lets start w/ Obama. He is a unicorn! Everything he brought to the table in 2008 is hard, if not impossible, to replicate. Not to mention even *he* had to work to get black voters in the primary.
If blk support wasnt automatic for him, it wont be for Harris and Booker 2/?
