FT Getafe 1 Espanyol 2
3 fantastic goals on an afternoon that was important in the relegation battle as Espanyol deservedly got 3 massive points.

First Half Getafe started quite well but conceded an unbelievable strike from Joselu. Then they scored an equaliser a couple of minutes later just as good if not better than Joselu when Vidal pass was intercepted after a good press from Portu Enes Unal gets the ball & shoots from a tight angle went into the top far corner.

FT Real Sociedad 3 Athletic Club 1
Fantastic entertaining #BasqueDerby was settled by brilliant play & goals by Sorloth, Kubo & the returning Oyarzabal. Athletic played their part but LaReal just had a bit more quality on the day. First Half LaReal played really well at a high & intense tempo particularly in midfield with their pressing being very good & the passing as to be expected was very good especially from Merino, Silva & Kubo because those 3 were fantastic at finding space not just….

FT Celta Vigo 1 Villarreal 1
Celta had the chances but didn’t do enough to get the 3 points they deserved against a very good Villarreal side.

First Half Celta started slowly struggling to get a foot hold in the game in the first 25 minutes defending deep looking to hit…. Villarreal on the break.
Villarreal took a deserved lead after that Celta responded well having more possession using it reasonably well putting more pressure on Villarreal forcing them into mistakes while in build up this lead to Celta having a few good chances for the likes of

Betis deservedly pick up 3 points as the William Carvalho show sees off Almeria.

First Half Betis were good dominated possession used it well as they always do particularly Alex Moreno got a lot of joy on the left hand side pushing on from Left Back… Also Betis had lots of the ball in Almerias half.

Betis took a deserved lead when lovely build up Rodri gets the ball passes to Canales who flicks it to Alex Moreno who gets to byline & waits for William Carvalho who’s making an unmarked run into the box from central midfield.

First Half Madrid started lively & playing at a tempo & energy that Barca at times especially in midfield just couldn’t cope with. Kroos, Modric, Tchouameni, Valverde & Vinicius. We’re all fantastic not just with their quality on the ball but the edge they all showed in going past Barca players to counter fast which is exactly what Madrid want to do.

Madrid we’re causing so many problems find Vini in space at times 1v1 against Roberto with little help.

FT Celta Vigo 1 Real Sociedad 2
LaReal control the 2nd half & get a very important win in the battle for 4th.
First Half Celta played well started a bit slowly as the game was stop start due to injuries but as the half went on Celta got better we’re good out of possession not.. Allowing Brais Mendez particularly to have the ball.
On the ball they were good as well struggled to create lots of chances but had decent play in LaReals half nice link up play between Larsen & Aspas. & with Mallo & Galan pushing on from fullback this caused LaReal problems…

FT Athletic Club 0 Atletico Madrid 1
Griezmann 100th LaLiga goal for Atleti the difference in a close intense encounter at San Mames.

First Half Athletic started well on the front foot pushing high up the pitch having the edge of possession & created the better chances… Despite not causing Atleti many problems.

Athletic at times we’re a bit too predictable in their attacking play for example at times Nico Williams could of taken on Reinildo on a couple of occasions & got crosses in from the byline. Also on occasions shooting from distance when

FT Real Mallorca 0 Sevilla 1
Not the best game from either side but a combination of Gudeljs wonder strike & Bono making important saves was enough to get Sevilla their 2nd win of the season.

First Half Mallorca started brightly at a high tempo with good use of the ball… & had 2 good chances in the first 10 minutes.

After that Mallorca we’re happy to let Sevilla have possession while waiting for an opportunity to win the ball back & break.

Sanchez fantastic cross gave Abdon Prats an opportunity his first time effort was saved superbly by Bono

FT Girona 1 Cadiz 1
Girona play well but once again not being good enough in both boxes costs them as Cadiz earn a deserved point.

First Half Girona played well had the majority of the possession used it reasonably well good in build up just lacked the extra bit of quality &.. Bravery on the final pass to create a quality chance.

Riquelme was very good again finding space well at times in between midfield & attack to get on the ball & make things happen for Girona.

Javi Hernandez had freedom to get forward from Left Centre Back in their back 3….

FT Villarreal 1 Sevilla 1

Good & mostly even game of #LaLiga football with both sides lacking the final bit of quality in front of goal in terms of pass & finish but chances created as both sides had 12 attempts on goal.

First Half Getafe defended really well… Created a couple good chances Oliveira’s shot from just outside the box was the best that forced Dimitrievski into a good save but apart from that Getafe didn’t really create anything they lacked quality & better decision making on the ball when attacking we saw very little from.

FT Levante 2 Real Sociedad 1
Very good, open entertaining game of Spanish Football both teams looking for the 3 points.
First Half Levante played well doing what they do defending deep looking to counter & play forward when possible good use of the ball tcreated a couple…. of good chances for Jose Morales unusually for him he didn’t take them.
